SBS Radio has joined with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) to bringthis year’s story time to all Australians – with an audio book of Aaron Blabey’s ‘The Brothers Quibble’ in English and 16 other languages. SBS has arranged for the audiobooks to be accessible for the remainder of the year, and can provide you with translated scripts of the book that can be used as a classroom training resource. Our broadcasters are also participating in a number of public readings in Sydney and Melbourne:

Preston Library: Indigenous language story time - reading in the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri People from the Kulin Nation of Central Victoria, from 10:30am
Craigieburn Library: Punjabi story time with SBS Radio Punjabi host Manpreet Singh, from 11am
Oakleigh Library: Greek story time with SBS Radio Greeks’ Kyriakos Gold, from 10:30am
Clayton Library: Italian story time with SBS Radio Italian’s Francesca Rizzoli, from 10:30am
As you all well know, a love of language and culture is learned at a young age and passed on from generation to generation through listening and reading. This year SBS and ALIA are helping you to encourage more young Australians to read & enjoy books and languages.
