Community Languages Australia facilitates the activity of an Academic Forum. The forum brings together many of the experts in languages education from throughout Australia. The Forum is a strong sounding board for the AFESA /CLA Council.

Community Languages Australia lodged a submission to the Federal Minister for Education in mid-January 2019 requesting ongoing Commonwealth Government funding of CLA activity beyond July 2019 when the current Project funded by DET Commonwealth will conclude.
